I disagree, just because other countries are doing it doesn’t mean it’s the right and most efficient thing to do. If you went in depth to this “free health care” in these other countries, you could see that the citizens are paying almost 40% tax from their paycheck. They’re giving almost half of their money to the government to pay for everyone’s health care. Nothing is free.

I disagree, in the long run the US would be in about $32.6 trillion dollars in debt. When you say “why should we have to pay for something we didn’t ask for”, why should everyone else have to pay for your health because the “free health care” will be coming from people’s paychecks and taxes.

I believe we should not have universal healthcare. Funding universal healthcare could increase federal spending by $32.6 trillion over the first ten years. It would increase the wait times in hospitals so if the patients aren’t dying from not having healthcare, they could potentially die from waiting 8 hours for proper care. Providing universal healthcare would nonetheless increase taxes meaning instead of paying the government 15%, workers would pay about 40% straight from their paycheck. Free healthcare would also lower the quality of care and make a shortage of doctors. Medicaid and other programs that help with medical costs are available for low income families.
