Although everyone deserves the right to free healthcare, there are many reasons as to why we should continue to pay for our own bills. One reason as to why i don't support free healthcare is because the US will be in an even deeper debt than we already are because the government would have to pay for everyone’s medical bills and medications. Also, doctors wouldn’t be getting paid as much which will probably discourage people from being doctors due to the decrease in pay. One last reason as to why i don't support free healthcare is due to the long waits that patients would have to encounter. In the video that we watched, it stated that people would wait up to 6 months to get a free check up when they could have gone to a clinic to get checked out for a smaller fee than a hospital.
