I agree if your dying they should try to help you but if they cant afford private healthcare why would they be able to afford the increase in tax cost due to the government having to pay for supplies for hospitals.

I understand that people don't have the funds for private health care but if they don't have the funds for private healthcare could the support the increased taxes due to the government needing to provide supplies to hospitals.

While I'm more on the fence on this issue because I haven't had a chance to research this on my own from what I've seen so far I think private healthcare can be beneficial as long as health care companies are forced to compete. In the video we watched the news reporter said that if healthcare companies were forced to reveal their prices they would be able to compete with each other which would eventually lead to them lowering their prices. While universal healthcare would lead to taxes rising in cost due to the government having to pay for it.
