Right now, UHC is better than what we have now. Sure this might higher the taxes but that is it not better to know that you won’t go bankrupted for taking expensive surgery that could save your life. Also as a human being it is our duty to take care of our-self as a whole. Since ancient time humans have survived the harsh processes of evolution by sticking together in a group. I know this time it should not about survival of the fittest, but sad to say it is. People who have money they survive and the people with no money they don't survive.
