I have been in the same situation, which I why I agree with your argument

I support the decision because with choices people can find the best option for them

If we have free universal healthcare then anybody would be able to get what they want, no matter the cost or the procedure. This can cause every hospital to be full to the point where lines are up to months. If we were to be responsible for our own health care then those taxes wouldn't come out of out paychecks. We would have more gross pay that we can then decide if we want to use that money for actual healthcare. If we were under free universal healthcare, taxes would increase, because at the end of the day someone still has to pay for that procedure and our taxes would be used to cover people who are using the healthcare. By being responsible for our own health care, we would become more aware of the cost of a procedure and by being aware, we might cut back of procedures that aren't necessarily needed.
